The Butterfly Logo

The butterfly is an old Christian symbol. Traditionally it simply represents death and resurrection but there is more to it than that:

 

The larva is self-absorbed, eating whatever it comes across – not very appealing. The pupa stage gives it a complete transformation. The old life dies and something totally different is formed; a beautiful butterfly emerges. Like this, Jesus also enters our lives.  Whether life is great or difficult – when Jesus enters our lives – a transformation happens. Something new, unknown, exciting, and beautiful is created – like a newly emerged butterfly. The diversity in the many species also underlines differences in humans as spiritual beings and as a church and all are beautiful!
